Footsteps on frozen tales

 Day 0: Arrival in Leh (11,480 ft / 3,500 m)

• Arrive in Leh, a high-altitude town in Ladakh.
• Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the altitude.
• Explore Leh's markets, monasteries, and local culture.

Day 1: Leh Acclimatization Day

• Continue acclimatization in Leh.
• Visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and other local attractions.
• Attend a pre-trek briefing, receive trekking guidelines.

Day 2: Leh to Shingra Koma (10,500 ft / 3,200 m)

• Drive to Chilling, the roadhead for the trek.
• Trek to Shingra Koma, the starting point on the frozen Zanskar River.
• Experience the initial thrill of walking on the ice.
• Camp on the ice, a unique setting for the night.

Day 3: Shingra Koma to Tibb Cave (10,760 ft / 3,280 m)

• Begin trekking further into the frozen river valley.
• Pass by frozen waterfalls, cliffs, and breathtaking landscapes.
• Reach Tibb Cave, a natural shelter formed by the cliffs.

Day 4: Tibb Cave to Naerak Camp (11,150 ft / 3,400 m)

• Trek through the narrow gorges of the frozen river.
• Experience the ever-changing ice formations and landscapes.
• Arrive at Naerak Campsite, near the famous frozen waterfall.

Day 5: Naerak Camp to Tibb Cave

• Trek back to Tibb Cave, retracing your steps.
• Witness the familiar scenery from a different perspective.

Day 6: Tibb Cave to Gyalpo Camp (10,760 ft / 3,280 m)

• Trek back towards Shingra Koma, leaving the Naerak Camp.
• Camp at Gyalpo, relishing the companionship and warmth.

Day 7: Gyalpo Camp to Shingra Koma

• Complete the return journey to Shingra Koma.
• Bid farewell to the frozen river as you leave it behind.

Day 8: Shingra Koma to Leh

• Trek to Shingra Koma, the final leg of your Chadar adventure.
• Drive back to Leh, reminiscing about your incredible journey.

Day 9: Departure from Leh

• Depart from Leh, taking with you memories of the unique Chadar Trek.
